Graduating with Honours from the University of Sydney in1991, Steven has worked in Australia and overseas in the industrial and building services fields. Steven is a Director and the Principal Mechanical Engineer responsible for mechanical services at EST.
Steven’s specific areas of expertise include innovative services designs, natural ventilation and energy efficiency modelling. Steven is an accredited NABERS/ABGR assessor which allows him to provide Energy, Water, Indoor Environmental Quality and Waste ratings on office buildings. Steven’s great attention to detail ensures a very high level of work both from himself and the people who work for him. |

Andrew is a director of EST and is responsible for the electrical, communications and fire services side of our business. As a qualified electrician with experience in leading Tasmanian electrical contracting companies, Andrew understands his designs from both the designers and installation perspectives. Andrew is a keen Project Manager who loves working in a very hands on manner with clients, consultants and suppliers to achieve the required project outcomes.

Mechanical Engineer
David joined our team at EST in April 2008 as our Hobart Branch Manager. David is a qualified Mechanical Engineer having received his Bachelor in Engineering Degree with 1st class honors from University of Western Australia. After gaining many years experience in the field including lecturing at Curtin University of Technology in Perth he returned to study to obtain his PhD majoring in Mechanical Engineering in 1996.

Bachelor of Mechanical Engineering – University of Tasmania
After completing a bachelor of Mechanical Engineering at the University of Tasmania John worked in various positions throughout the world before returning to Tasmania to start a career as a Building Services engineer. Previously working as a Production Supervisor and a Project Engineer in the UK. Since starting at EST John has continued to expand his knowledge of the mechanical building services including heating, ventilation and air-conditioning design; gas piping design; hydronic systems design; and building modelling using the IES Virtual Environment software. John has worked on projects including Cosgrove Park, Cimitiere House, Gasworks redevelopment, ATC North, ATC Burnie and the Launceston Airport redevelopment.

Lockwood
Office Manager
Fiona has over 10 years experience in Administration and Accounting and 7 years in Customer Service. She is responsible for the administration and all accounting functions of EST as well as the day to day running of the office. Fiona has completed Certificate IV in Accounting as well as AutoCad drafting subjects at TAFE giving her a diversity in the office. Fiona is currently studying for the Diploma in Accounting at Tasmanian Polytechnics College.

Electrical Technical Officer
Jon was the first employee of EST joining the firm in 2004 since when he has worked his way up to Drafting Manager and at the end of 2008 was given the position of Electrical Technical Officer. Jon is now using his experience from drafting for over 4 years as well as studying via distance education with Central Queensland University to obtain his Electrical Engineering Degree.

Matthew has been in the mechanical and electrical fields for 19 years of which 18 years have been in the fields of site infrastructure, robotics’, scada, industrial Power, Control and Data systems. During this time Matthew have been responsible for installation, design and project management and process engineering. Matt’s expertise covers project management both industrial and commercial, electrical building infrastructure, , power distribution fire detection and fire warning systems, security and access control, communications systems including being a certified cat 6 Panduit data infrastructure designer.

Pat is a methodical, problem solving person by nature, whom enjoys being challenged. Pat has worked in a range of industries, including; Machine shops (both fitting and turning and metal fabrication), HVAC ductwork manufacture, installations and maintenance, Small scale production and assembly lines, Heavy industry project management (TEMCO). Having had years of hands on experience in the metal trades. Pat specialises in our Hydraulic design work.

Jason has been Drafting for over 10 years within different industries and using various techniques. Jason started his Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture) at the Australian Maritime College At Engineering Solutions Tasmania Jason is helping develop a state of the art 3d Drafting Concept. Whilst focusing most of his time on work, he also like to get outdoors and enjoy life. Jason enjoys what Tasmania has to offer Australia and the world and Engineering Solutions Tasmania is one of the Leading forces behind this Country’s development.

Luke grew up in Bathurst NSW, where he was exposed to a wide range of drafting and modelling programs through his continued work in the family engineering business, a CNC Machine shop. Luke moved to Tasmania to study Bachelor of Engineering (Naval Architecture) at the Australian Maritime College where he completed 2 years before deferring his studies to obtain full-time employment.
